Australian EmbassyEach Australian Consulate covers certain areas in the US. The Australian Consulate in Chicago cover the areas of  the Midwest states of Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. If you do not live in these areas then you can look at the main listing for the Australian Embassy in Washington for the different areas.

Note that passport applications have to be done in person and all passports and notarial acts are by appointment only in Chicago and can be scheduled by calling +1-312-419-1480. There is a  surcharge of AUD 100 (Adults) & AUD 50 (Children) for passport applications. Note also that there is no Visa Agency for travel and immigration to Australia in Chicago. You will need to contact the Canadian office at Telephone: (613) 238-1040.
