Australian Embassy Vietnam

If you are living in Vietnam as an Australian then you can contact the Australian Embassy in Vietnam for consular assistance which may include access to a public notary or having the ability to register a marriage, register a birth or register a death. They can also assist you to apply for a passport or to renew your Australian passport while in Vietnam.

We have added the contact details of the Embassy below with a map to the Embassy. Note that if you are going to apply for an Australian visa then you need to do this long before you leave Vietnam. The contact details for VFS in Vietnam has also been added below.

You can apply in Vietnam for an Australian Visitors Visa or if you are married or getting married to an Australian citizen then you can apply for a Partner Visa for Australia. As stated above you need to apply early as the Embassy and VFS do get flooded with applications that are urgent and they do not take too kindly to this. Note also that if you are going to apply for an Australian student Visa then you need to have completed your medical exam and have a health certificate before you apply. note that a visa application can take up to 4 weeks depending on the type of visa.
